Main Duties

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager. Together with your team, you take care of the maintenance of the building, including all facilities. You are involved in maintenance and priority planning, and you lead large-scale projects (e.g. renovations). Last but not least; safety for employees and guests is key, and in your role you are jointly responsible for managing and guaranteeing this. You report to the General/Hotel Manager.

More in detail:

  • Solve problems and malfunctions, following up on ad-hoc complaints and preventive technical expert work within the hotel
  • Regular contact with external partners for troubleshooting and repairs to lifts, air conditioning, refrigeration and sprinkler installation
  • Action necessary safety measures, monitor the availability of necessary permits. As an emergency response coordinator you put (fire) safety at number 1
  • Execute, manage and coordinate proposals, projects and quotations.
  • Make proposals for investments and replace / adjust contracts with external companies
  • Manage and monitor maintenance planning via our Trello system
  • Manage and review maintenance budgets
  • Maintaining environmental and energy reports, drawing files, fault reports and managing the local certificates
  • Responsible for recruitment including your team's schedules, training and performance reviews

What we are looking for

  • Completed technical education
  • Knowledge of electricity, gas, water, construction, etc.
  • Experience in maintenance and management in the hospitality/retail industry
  • Knowledge of catering-related safety and environmental aspects and facilities and (legal) reports
  • Open personality, reliable, team player and service oriented
  • Your communication skills are on point. Fluent Dutch and English
  • Lives in Amsterdam or surrounding areas
